1. What This Website Is

This private reference website operates independently of Camden County and North Carolina government. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves them, performs authorized background checks, or files documents for a user.

Its material identifies custodians such as Camden Sheriff Records Management, Camden County Clerk, the SBI Criminal Information and Identification Section, and the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. Some pages also connect users to search tools run by outside providers.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, a user must not:

• Use the service in violation of federal, North Carolina, or local law
• Threaten, stalk, or harass another person with information found here
• Rely on site content for housing, hiring, credit, or insurance decisions
• Seek unauthorized access to an account, server, or protected function
• Deploy scraping, bot, or other automated collection tools against the pages
• Interfere with performance or another visitor's ability to use the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No user may employ information from these pages or a linked tool to intimidate, discriminate against, threaten, stalk, or harass anyone. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. Information published through the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry under Article 27A exists for public-safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism, harassment, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Camden County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for applicant screening, rental review, insurance rating, or credit decisions. A user agrees not to use site or linked-tool data to:

• Make a hiring, firing, or other employment decision
• Evaluate a tenant, rental applicant, or housing request
• Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, benefit, or government program
• Carry out any other decision regulated by the FCRA

A regulated purpose requires the proper official process through the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation when authorized or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Although it describes Camden County records and North Carolina expunction, warrant, charge, and conviction processes, it cannot determine how the law applies to a particular matter. A licensed North Carolina attorney must provide that advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is" without a guarantee that:

• Any item is complete, accurate, or current
• Access will remain continuous or uninterrupted
• The service contains no defect, bug, or security weakness
• A partner result is correct, comprehensive, or properly matched

Charges, dismissals, restrictions, and expunction orders can change the status of a record. Delays and gaps are unavoidable. Nothing published here is an official declaration by Camden County Clerk, Camden Sheriff, the SBI, or another government custodian.

A link may open a sheriff page, court portal, state-agency resource, legal organization, or commercial search service outside our control. Camden County Criminal History is not responsible for an external site's content, availability, prices, security, or data handling. Its own terms should be reviewed before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Camden County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, adapted, distributed, or used to create derivative material without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent permitted by law, Camden County Criminal History disclaims liability for damages arising from access to or use of the site, including reliance on information supplied here or by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by that user's conduct or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

North Carolina law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of Camden County Criminal History must be brought in a court located in North Carolina.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is published on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or terminate a user's access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected language will be limited or modified only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
