Official Camden County criminal records must be requested from the government office that keeps them. Sheriff Records Management handles its agency reports, while the Clerk of Superior Court maintains District and Superior Court files. Albemarle District Jail, the SBI, NCDAC, and the state registry hold other records. The contacts below route each request to its actual custodian. Camden County Criminal History is a private reference and cannot retrieve, certify, change, or accept filings for a government record.

This Is Not a Government Office. Camden County Criminal History cannot produce records, conduct an official check, amend a file, or receive an expunction petition.

Need an Official Record?

Send a Camden County request to the office with legal custody of that record:

  • Sheriff reports and citations: Camden County Sheriff Records Management Division, for records created by that agency
  • Court files and certified Camden searches: Camden County Clerk of Superior Court, including District and Superior Court records
  • Booking and present custody: Albemarle District Jail, because Camden County has no operating county jail
  • Your statewide fingerprint history: North Carolina SBI Criminal Information and Identification Section through Right to Review
  • Prison or community supervision: North Carolina Department of Adult Correction and its Public Offender Search
  • Registry information: North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry, with local registration handled by the Sheriff
